Our written safety policy is communicated with employees upon orientation, is reviewed annually and addresses accident prevention strategies, reporting procedures and hazardous material control among other policies. All staff receive orientation on fire safety and will be educated on site-specific fire exits and emergency procedures. Direct contact and emergency phone numbers are placed in all janitorial closets as part of our hazard communication program.
 
Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are readily available to our clients for all cleaning agents. Employees who handle chemicals are trained on the use and hazards of those chemicals. Accordingly, all cleaning agents will be used in a safe and proper manner and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
 

York Building Services complies with all pertinent provisions of the federal OSHA Hazard Communication Standard and all comparable state requirements. An OSHA logbook is maintained at client sites to accurately record all incidents. Additionally, all dedicated on-site equipment is routinely inspected to ensure that defective equipment is duly replaced to prevent unsafe working conditions.
